How the Israelites confess their sins in captivity
- They confess that they did not serve God in the land of promise.

- They confess their wickedness despite the goodness of God to them – vs. 35
- They lamented that they are now servants in the land that God gave them.
- They lamented that they are now in distress even in the promised land – vs. 37
- They said they are now willing to make a new covenant with God, and the Levites will seal it for them.
