Qualities of Asa, the king of Judah
2 Chronicles 14
Asa was the great-grandson of Solomon.
- His policies were good and right in the house of God.
- He stopped idolatry in Judah.
- He commanded the people of Judah to obey and practice the law of God.
- He removed all the altars of idols in Judah.
- There was peace during his reign, and there was no war.
- God gave him rest from his enemies.
- He sought help from God when 1,000 Ethiopians soldiers with 300 chariots led by Zerah came to attack him.
- The host of heaven fought for him against his enemies and gave him the spoils of war.
