The Apostasy of Rehoboam
2 Chronicles 12
- Rehoboam succeeded Solomon as the King of Israel, before the Kingdom was divided under his reign.
- The Bible recorded in 2 Chronicles 11 that Rehoboam only served God for 3 years.
- The Bible also recorded in 2 Chronicles 12:1 And it came to pass, when Rehoboam had established the kingdom, and had strengthened himself, he forsook the law of the Lord, and all Israel with him. After he had established himself and strengthened himself, he abandoned God.
- Verse 14, And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the Lord. also said that he did evil and his act did not seek the Lord.
- Men, even these days, are always forgetting God after God has established them.
