Job 27 vs. 6 – My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.

Instead of praising God in his affliction or asking for mercy, Job continues to justify himself before God.
Commentary 
- I have the spirit of God -vs.3, All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;
- I have never altered any wicked statement.
- I am not deceitful – vs.4, My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.
- I am a man of integrity -vs.5, God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.
- I am a righteous man – vs.6, My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.
- I have a pure heart – vs.6
