The reward of the wickedness of the  wicked

Job continues his analysis of wicked men and wonders why they are not suffering, and him a righteous man, is suffering. Job said wicked people commit several evils, yet they don’t suffer.

Commentary

1. Wicked people commit violent crimes.
2. Wicked people oppress widows and the fatherless.
3. Wicked people ignore the poor and the needy.
4. Wicked people commit ritual sacrifices with children of the fatherless, yet they prosper.
5. Wicked people commit murder in the night like a thief.
6. Wicked people commit adultery, sometimes with a prostitute.
7. In this chapter, Job compares his life to that of the wicked and explains why he is suffering rather than the wicked.
