Rewards of service to God

In chapter 21, Job continues his complaint against God, even saying that those who don’t serve God are living a better life.

Commentary

1. He said wicked people become old and mighty.
2. Wicked people are becoming established and successful – vs.8, Their seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes.
3. Wicked people have nothing to fear, and God does not bother about them – vs.9, Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them.
4. Wicked people are successful in their business -vs.10, Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf.
5. Wicked people are wealthy.
6. Because of all these reasons, Job was questioning what his gain was by serving God.
