1 Chronicles 25

1. David was not only a warrior but also a great singer.
2. David knew the secret of singing unto the Lord.
3. David knew the power of worshipping God.
4. He not only sang but also mobilised the Levites to sing unto the Lord.
5. The first thing David did was to appoint 288 musicians to sing to the Lord in the temple.
6. These 288 people are specialist singers and their only duty was to be singing and prophesying with the harps, Psalteries, and cymbals – 1 Chronicles 25:7 So the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the Lord, even all that were cunning, was two hundred fourscore and eight.
7. So, if you want to have the presence of God in any ministry, don’t joke with the choir department.
