Trusting in God

Read 1 Samuel 27

1. David had faith in God, yet he was still afraid of his arch-enemy, King Saul.
2. David trusted God for protection, yet he nursed fears that Saul would still kill him.
3. God has delivered David from the hand of King Saul several times, yet David still feared for his life in the hands of Saul.
4. We read in 1 Samuel 27 vs 1 that he feared he will perish one day in the hands of Saul. – And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.
