| DIVINE RICHES |

Memorise: ” For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor. That ye through his poverty might be rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9). Read: Matthew 6:28-34 |
God wants you to prosper. A common occurrence among unbelievers today is that many lose their health while trying to amass wealth, and thereafter lose their wealth while trying to regain their health. This is a vicious circle of poverty. As far as God is concerned, true prosperity is for the holy, hence 3 John 1: 2 says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” In other words, it is your spiritual prosperity that determines and dictates the pace of prosperity in all other areas. If you are spiritually impoverished, you have no business with the true riches. If you are spiritually prospered but currently financially or materially impoverished, with time, the impoverished areas will be upgraded to the level of spiritual prosperity you have recorded in the things of God.
However, every child of God should rebel against this unholy institution called poverty. In those days, poverty was seen as the birth mark of Christians because it was visible almost everywhere you turned. Believers too did not help matters as they accepted poverty- a curse of the law, as a vital element of godliness. Thank God that era of ignorance is gone. Anything God did not create in you from the beginning should be resisted. When Adam was created he never lacked. If anything, he had far much more than he needed or desired. God even went to the extent of meeting his unverbalised needs, such as provision of Eve. “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:” (2 Corinthians 9:8). Lack is not your portion. Begging is not for you. God wants you to be sufficient in every area so that you can produce more value. If you obey and serve God with all your heart and put Him first, all your needs will be met. According to Matthew 6:33, if you use the heavenly order – God first, holiness next, you last, you will never struggle for wealth. But if you reverse the order, that is you adopt the earthly order- me first, work next and God last, you may end up struggling throughout life. The choice is yours. |

The heavenly order gives you increase through favour. The earthly order gives you increase through labour. Which do you prefer? |
