God as Guardian

Read Numbers 9

1. God guided the Israelite nation for 40 years as they journeyed to the promised land after being brought out by God.
2. The Lord instructed them when to move and when to rest.
3. The Bible says the presence of the Lord was like the appearance of fire as the cloud covered the tent of the Israelites – vs. 15 And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.
4. It is also written that at the commandment of the Lord, the people proceeded and at His commandment they stayed in tents – vs. 18 At the commandment of the Lordthe children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the Lord they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents.
5. May the God of Israel instruct your going out and coming in, as he guided the Israelite nation.
