How does Jesus washes away our sins?

Jesus washes every person clean.

Read Numbers 19

1. In the Old Testament, a distinction was made between clean and unclean people.
2. In the Old Testament, the Priest can become unclean just after offering a sacrifice until he washes himself (vs. 8); a man who touches a dead body can be unclean (vs.11) for seven days, or a person can be unclean for seven days for touching a slain person, the bone of a man or a grave.
3. But, Jesus, with his Blood, cancelled all these laws and made everything clean.
4. The criterion for cleanliness is no longer rituals of perfection but repentance from sin.
5. In the Old Testament, unclean people needed to be purified before becoming clean. At times, it takes days.
6. The Blood of Jesus now purifies every uncleanliness instantly upon confession of sins.
