Jesus washes every person clean.
Read Numbers 19

- In the Old Testament, a distinction was made between clean and unclean people.
- In the Old Testament, the Priest can become unclean just after offering a sacrifice until he washes himself (vs. 8); a man who touches a dead body can be unclean (vs.11) for seven days, or a person can be unclean for seven days for touching a slain person, the bone of a man or a grave.
- But, Jesus, with his Blood, cancelled all these laws and made everything clean.
- The criterion for cleanliness is no longer rituals of perfection but repentance from sin.
- In the Old Testament, unclean people needed to be purified before becoming clean. At times, it takes days.
- The Blood of Jesus now purifies every uncleanliness instantly upon confession of sins.
