| Memorise: “Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” (Eph 3:20)
Read: Isaiah 3:10-11 |
| Brought face to face with a valley full of dry bones in Ezekiel 37:1-10, Ezekiel was asked by the Lord, ‘Can these bones live?’ He almost said, impossible! Ezekiel’s answer, ‘Lord, thou knowest’ teaches us to be very mindful of what we say at anytime, particularly when under pressure. The Israelites were asked to go and possess the land of promise but they said they could never make it, so they never made it.
But two young boys confessed they could and God gave them grace and they entered and possessed their land. It is what you confess that Heaven will back up and establish for you. Be careful what you say about yourself, your family and destiny. Another lesson here is that whenever God asks you a question, it is not because He does not know the answer because He is Answer personified; He only asks to find out whether you know what He is capable of doing. There are several situations in the world today that appear to be saying that Satan is going to take over, but never believe that lie of the devil. It does not matter what your present situation is saying, your tomorrow will be alright. At some point, God told Ezekiel to prophesy. If you are genuinely converted, you can prophesy too. A number of people have come to me at some point saying, ‘Man of God, we were told that you are a prophet’. I tell them I am a pastor. They would ask me to tell them their future and then I would ask, ‘Are you a child of God?’ If they say, No, I would tell them their future will be terrible. They would ask how I knew, then I would tell them I do not need to pray to know about that because Isaiah 3:11 says so. But if they say they are children of God, I would tell them their future is alright according to Isaiah 3:10. As soon as Ezekiel obeyed and prophesied, bones from the same body that had been separated for very long, began to locate each other and form skeletons. A movement from just bones to skeletons shows that God has started His work but has not finished. Skeletons also mean you should be patient as God probably has unfinished business in the matter. When God moves some believers’ situation from bones to skeletons, they find it difficult to appreciate Him. Their excuse is that He has not completed His work, but that is why they should praise Him more. Are you faced with a skeleton? Go ahead and thank the Lord. He who began it will complete it. |
| Appreciate God for the next 30 minutes thanking Him for all good things He started in your life and family. |
