Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

1. The husband should be physically separated from his parents.
2. Ideally, the new couple should not stay in the same house with either spouse’s parents.
3. The new spouse should be financially separated from their parents and achieve financial independence to feed themselves.
