Memorise: “Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah” (1 Samuel 16:13). Read: 1 Samuel 16:11-13 |
Divine encounter is one event that can completely transform your life. When Hannah woke the morning before her divine encounter; she was despised, and an object of ridicule, shame and embarrassment. She woke up with an empty womb, with nothing to show for all her years of marriage. By the time she was heading home from Shiloh, she was full of blessings. Have you been working with nothing to show for all your labours, efforts and investments? By His divine appointment, the Lord will turn that situation around today in Jesus name. In 1 Samuel 16:11-13, God sent a prophet to the house of Jesse on a divine appointment but David was missing, although that appointment was for him, not his brothers. You will not miss your divine appointment in Jesus name. Nobody will take the blessings and opportunities prepared for you in Jesus name. By the end of that divine appointment, the shepherd boy had become king; the defender of sheep had become defender of God’s people; the last and also the least had become first; the unknown had become the number one citizen of Israel. Today, as you use this devotional, I prophesy upon you that the purpose for which God created you shall be fulfilled in Jesus name. The Most-High God will lift you from your dunghill to the throne already prepared for you. You will be head hence forth. Your name shall no more be among people of low positions. Joshua was a messenger but God made him the president of the nation. Are you a messenger? The Lord will make you the managing director. When David woke up that morning, he was so despised that his father could not even present him as a candidate for kingship. Do men prefer others to you? Are you least considered for vacant top positions? Don’t be afraid! The opinions of men do not matter when your divine appointment comes. Like David’s brothers, all those who fought against you will be there when you will be crowned over them. Let your faith cry out today for your divine appointment. |
