Read Leviticus Chapter 11
- The laws of Mosaic were highly strict.
- The Children of Israel were forbidden from eating several animals.
- These include beasts that chew the cord, fish without fins or scales, eagles, vulture, owl, bat, snail, lizard, and tortoise.
- The blood of Jesus cancelled all these laws, as Jesus preached that what defiles a man is not what goes inside the mouth, but the words that came out of his mouth.
- God changed the Mosaic laws because they proved inadequate in guaranteeing holiness and righteousness.
- God now looks at the heart rather than what goes into the stomach or the expression of your face
