Deuteronomy 2:30 – But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him: for the LORD thy God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into thy hand, as appeareth this day.

- God hardened the heart of Pharaoh of Egypt and Siloh King of Hesbbon in order to execute judgment on them.
- However, God does not harden the heart of anyone unless it is certain the person has forsaken God and sold his heart to Satan.
