Memorise: “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses” (1 Tim 6:12)Read: 1 Timothy 6:11-12 |
Your ability to withstand Satan’s tricks, attacks and schemes depends on how much of God’s armour you wear, how often you wear it, and how well you wear it (Eph 6:11).Anytime a child of God is hit by the enemy’s bullet, the individual should quickly ask himself or herself: ‘Is my armour on?’ Why? This is because this armour is not like earthly armour you would have to remove before going for a shower. It should always be on you except you decide to drop it.Another question a believer who is hit by enemy’s bullet should ask is, ‘Is the whole armour on?’ Why? Many times we put on this armour, we leave one or more parts unworn. Even when we know how to cast out devils, some of us refuse to put on the Gospel shoes ; soul-winning. If you have all others on but refuse to win souls for Jesus, you stand the risk of being hit by Satan’s bullets. For instance, it takes wearing the Gospel boots to activate the promise in Luke 10:19.You can confess it everyday if you like, but if you fail to evangelize and you dare demons, you will be disappointed, if not put into serious problems! The challenges some believers face with demons- physically and in dreams, could be as a result of the loophole created by not putting on Gospel boots. Why will serpents not bite you if you are not wearing evangelism boots?1 Timothy 6:12 says we should fight the good fight of faith. The first fellow Jesus contended with before starting His ministry was the devil. This makes him a prominent adversary that must be fought.Believers should neither glorify the devil nor ignore him. The greatest mistake anyone can make in life is to ignore the devil. If you ignore the devil, you may not survive to tell the rest of the story. If you entered the house and you found an armed robber hiding under your bed, what will you do? Will you ignore him and go to sleep? No. If you do, by the time you wake up, you will not be happy with what you will see. If you see traces of the enemy in your dream, arise and fight. If you notice any symptom of sickness in your body, arise and fight. When you notice a negative trend in your children, don’t ignore it; arise and fight. 1 Peter 5:8 says the devil is always on the move looking for opportunity to attack people. Any armour you fail to wear gives him the pleasure to attack you. Put on the whole armour! Which of the armour are you neglecting today? Immediately put it on now. |
Those who ignore the devil live in self-deception. Those who recognize the devil live in fear. Don’t be caught in any of these! |

This is so true! We are attacked more often than we think from the enemy. The sins of our father (generational sin), curses, soul hurts, and demonic oppression all keep us from experiencing the Lord’s fullness!
I am so thankful to the Lord for His freedom! Great post!
