For Postpartum Blues
Father, you have just made me a mother. You have granted me the opportunity of partnering with you in the creative act of life. I should feel blessed beyond belief, but I am so guilty that I’ am not rejoicing.
They say it’s hormones, but whatever it is, I need help Lord, I need you to move gently with me through these days shepherd me as tenderly as you would a little lamb and help me to feel like myself again. Show me softy and the tiny wonders of brand new life.
You alone are my joy, and peace. You have always been the one who puts a smile on my face and a twinkle in my eye. I need you very near me now.
The responsibility is overwhelming and I am always so tried. Thank you for the promise of your presence. I cannot do it without you.
