How to receive Holy Ghost Baptism

1. Father, I come to you totally with my spirit, soul and body completely yielded. I come in child like faith.

I found your article void of theological content. The scriptures you quoted do not hint what you went on to declare. Here are a few anomalities:
1. Speaking in tongues is not sign of baptism of the Holy Ghost ,it is a gift of God given to edify the Church not as a spiritual barometer (I Corin 12:7, 14:22)
Fruits of the Spirit stated in Galatians 5:22-23 are ” But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. ” These show a baptism of the Holy Ghost.
2. Speaking in tongoues is NOT as critical to your prayer life as you put it. By stating that, you were wrestling scripture as prophesy is the most critical gift I Corin 14:1, 14:5)
3. NOT EVERYONE SHOULD SPEAK IN TONGUES
I Cor 12 says we are different parts of the body of of Christ therefore one can speak in tongues, 1 interpret, 1 1 prophesy etc. Dont miscquote I Corin 14:5 please, read the context.
4. What is the point of asking people to open their mouths and utter bubbling? Most of the people speak void repetitions in a bid to satisfy misconceptions created by articles like yours. Please call people to make their lives right before the Lord because He stands at the door rather than for them to open their mouths and demand a gift. Gifts are not demanded, are they now?
Tongues are knownlanguages not glossolalia.

I have read the article again and find nothing absolutely wrong with the write up by REV DR. CHRIS KWAPOVWE (CEK) of the ODM.
There is always a problem when we try to look at the word of God not from its simple and literally meaning but from the theological angle.
Speaking in tongues is a gift alright, but how do you manifest the gift of Holy spirit baptism if you do speak in tongues. When the gift was first poured out on the Apostles at Pentecostal, one of the outwards manifestations was speaking in tongues.
Paul counselled that we should earnestly desire to receive the gift of speaking in tongues coupled with agape love.
Anesu, did you say Tongues are ‘known languages’! I think we need to properly understand the essence of speaking in tongues..When you receive the gift and manifest it..you are really communicatiing with the Spirit of God through your inner spirit..a language that the Devil does not understand and comprehend
On a personal note, the Holy Spirit told me several years ago that there is no problem I cannot resolve in Jesus name if I pray in tongues for long hours
One of the ways of overcoming satanic attacks is speaking in tongues…which takes the battle to the spirit realm
I have also found out from personal experiences, that no matter the satanic attacks I face, once I tune to the spirit and pray in tongues..the matters get resolved.
I have often advised christians needing deliverance from any form of satanic attacks to pray for the gift of speaking in tongues…and for those who have it…to pray in tongues for 3-6hrs daily. This is a spiritual exericise that is sure to produce answered prayes

Your comment was very enlightening. My problem is, where in scripture does it imply or better still, say the devil cannot speak in tongues?
From 1 Cor 13, there are two types of tongues existant in the world -the tongues of man and of angels. Which of these does the devil not understand coz he is an angel after all. Hence my saying the tongues in the new testament are known languages. At pentecost devout man from all over the world heard their OWN languages (acts 2:6)
Paul saying I speak tongues more than all of you implys that he knew the languages he spoke. Please answer my question above.

It seems you are still burdened by the error of theological. 1 Cor. 13 says-Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not acharity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. …no where is it stated here that there are two tongues…how you come about this intepretation can only be from theology
Angels are servants of God and his children..meaning they belong to the kingdom of of God just like all believers….so angels and men speak in the same tongues. Where you come about the intepreatation of different tongues for angels and men from this passage…well I don t know
If you study the Bible carefully, you will know Satan is a fallen angel…so when you say ‘Satan is an angel after all’..it batttles me.. Satan..who God and Jesus variously described as the enemy, liar, murderer, etc
haven’t you read 2 Corinthians 11:14 tells us: “for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.”
About tongues being known languages..please read about gifts of the spirit

Kindly not that there is a diffrence between speaking in tongues and praying in the spirit..you spaek in tongues in known languages as Acts 2 vs 6 says, but when you pray in the spirit it is in an unknown language..1 Corinthians 14:14 (NIV) 14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.
For this purpose we need the gift of interpretation of tongues?

praying in tongues is a powerful gift given to us by father GOD.Regardless of what the critics are saying tongues is for today.I can testify that by praying in tongues for several hours daily i was healed from fibriods,and my family are getting saved,there is a change in my community and i can go on and on with the many testimonies just by me praying in tongues.Believers its time to awake from our sleep this is an awesome gift from GOD AND WE NEED TO USE IT.And what make it so amazing is the fact that all we have to do is to open our mouths and the HOLY SPIRIT will fill our mouths.And the devil does not know what you are praying and he cannot stop the answers to your prayers.Thank you father GOD for this gift.
