Sermon: Warning against paganism and idolatry

2 Chronicles chapter 36 is a summary of how the Israelites were captured and taken to Babylon.

1. This was a define punishment for the may idolarous sin they committed.
2. The Bible records in verse 36 that several reminders and warnings by God through the prophet, and the people of Israel mocked the prophet and killed him.
3. We also learn in this chapter that if one continues in sin, it will come to a time when God will no longer forgive the sin or have compassion but execute judgment.

God’s judgment against Israel’s idolatry

1. This is exactly what happened to the Israelite.
2. God raises Nebuchadnezzar, who raided Israel, killed many of the people, took the people captive, destroyed the temple of God, took away some of the treasures to Babylon and made the land desolate.
