How does heaven look?
2 Chronicles 18

- Prophet Micaiah gave us a glimpse of heaven when he appeared before Jehoshaphat, the King of Judah and Ahab, the king of Israel.
- The two of them have called him to ask whether they would be able to defeat the Syrian army.
- Prophet Micaiah recounted a vision about heaven.
- God is visible in heaven, Micaiah said he saw God.
- God is active in heaven, Micaiah said he saw God seating which means God could also be standing or walking.
- God has a throne in heaven, Micaiah said. God is seated in heaven.
- There is a host in heaven who stand on both the left and right sides of God.
- God discusses with the host of heaven because the Bible tells us in 2 Chronicles 18:19, And the Lordsaid, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one spake saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner. God asked who would go and entice King Ahab.
- The host of heaven is a spirit because we read in 2 Chronicles 18:20, Then there came out a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will entice him. And the Lordsaid unto him, Wherewith? A spirit stood before God.
- Every activity in this world is controlled in heaven, as one of the heavenly beings was released to the earth to become a lying spirit in the mouth of King Ahab’s prophet.
- God approves good or evil for human beings according to their deeds in the world. In 2 Chronicles 18:20, Then there came out a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will entice him. And the Lordsaid unto him, Wherewith? God approved that evil would happen to King Ahab.
- Another lesson we learn from this passage is that if you are anointed, you will see visions of what is happening in heaven, the way Prophet Micaiah saw heaven.
