2. What is not commonly known about Obed-Edom is that the family and his descendants have a heart for God.
3. The Bible records in 1 Chronicles 8:7 that the sons of Obed-Edom were men of strength who devoted themselves to the service of God as gatekeepers of the temple.
4. In 1 Chronicles 26:15, to Obed-Edom southward; and to his sons the house of Asuppim., The south gate and the house of Assupim in the Bible were given to Obed-Edom and his children to manage as gatekeepers.
