Evil acts of Ahaz, King of Judah

2 Kings 16

1. He allowed fire worship, making his son pass through fire – vs.3 But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lordcast out from before the children of Israel.
2. He committed abominations, outlawed by God -vs.3
3. Sacrificed burn incense under every tree, making the land full of idols.
4. He used silver and gold of God’s house as gifts to the King of Assyria.
5. He introduced foreign gods to Judah, constructing an idolatrous altar copied from Assyria.
6. He replaced the altar of God with a strange altar and commanded the priest Urijah to offer sacrifices on the strange altar.
7. He desecrated the temple by removing the brazen altar and sending it to the King of Assyria.
