David’s love for women

Read 2 Samuel 15

1. David had a big heart for God, but he also had a big heart her women.
2. He had about six official wives and ten unofficial wives, which the Bible refers to as concubines – vs.16 And the king went forth, and all his household after him. And the king left ten women, which were concubines, to keep the house.
3. His love for women also led him to commit a grievous sin, sleeping with a married woman – Bathsheba, and killing her husband, Uriah, to cover the iniquity.
4. When a man has too many wives, some of them will end up as mistresses of other men.
5. The ten concubines he had eventually became the sexual partner of his rebellious son, Absalom.
