David’s love for women
Read 2 Samuel 15

- David had a big heart for God, but he also had a big heart her women.
- He had about six official wives and ten unofficial wives, which the Bible refers to as concubines – vs.16 And the king went forth, and all his household after him. And the king left ten women, which were concubines, to keep the house.
- His love for women also led him to commit a grievous sin, sleeping with a married woman – Bathsheba, and killing her husband, Uriah, to cover the iniquity.
- When a man has too many wives, some of them will end up as mistresses of other men.
- The ten concubines he had eventually became the sexual partner of his rebellious son, Absalom.
