The foolishness of Jonah
Jonah 1

- Jonah was the prophet who went on a tour to Tarshish in disobedience to God, who instructed him to go on a mission journey to Nineveh.
- What lessons can we learn from his mistakes and foolishness?
- First, no one can run from the presence of God, who is Omnipresent. Jonah foolishly thought that by running to Nineveh, he had escaped God’s assignment. In his folly, Jonah was hiding at the bottom of the ship.
- God is the owner and creator of everything, and it is foolishness to refuse to carry out His assignment, yet use His created things – money, ship and sea to escape. You can’t disobey your parents and still spending his money and using properties.
- Disobedience provokes the anger of God.
Prayer: I receive a heart for obedience in Jesus name.
