| GOD OUR SUFFICIENCY |

Memorise: “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him (Psalm 28:7). Read: Psalms 28:1-9 |
| “The earth is the LORD’s and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein” (Psalm 24:1). God owns all things because He created them. The wealth of nations natural resources, silver and gold are His. Families and individuals talk of houses, cars and other material things they have acquired but God fabricated the raw materials with which those items were processed. My Father put the sand, water, mineral deposits, oil and gas where they are. Neither Satan nor man created the raw materials hence none of them can claim to originate any blessing. Satan is only an impostor. God is able to supply your needs according to His riches in glory (Phil. 4:19). This means there is no limit to His ability to meet your needs. He can provide water for your thirst from the rock, or from the jaw bone of an ass. He can cause the sun to stand still to give you victory over your enemies. He can freeze the sea just to bring you out of danger. He can send you food from heaven or multiply your last bottle of oil just to banish lack from your life. You can trust Him to meet your needs. He can also multiply your five loaves of bread and two fishes to cater for the thousands of mouths waiting to be fed. How often do you depend on Him to meet all your needs? Some years ago, I was in England. I was preparing to leave in two days but I needed 50 pounds to buy some books but had exhausted the money I had with me. I desired to have the books so I called on God to help out. Suddenly, the phone rang. The caller said “Biyi”. I told him there was nobody by that name there and added, “God bless you”. Instead of hanging up, the caller asked if I knew God and I said I did. He wanted to know how I knew God and we got talking and in a moment of time he got to know who I was and screamed with excitement as he invited his brother to the phone. He asked for my address and he came in company of his brother. While leaving they gave me 50 pounds. I thanked God but said if I had known the answer would come so fast I would have asked for 50 pounds extra. A few minutes later, the door bell rang. I went to open the door but met an envelope on the floor containing 50 pounds with a note from someone who had never given me money before. I thanked God again. But added that I should have asked for 50 pounds more. Before I slept that night I had a total of 150 pounds. Can you trust God to meet your needs? |
