Overcome trials of faith

Beyond increase, God wants to multiply your blessings. Apart from entering multiplication through leaving your possessions, achievements and comfort for the sake of the Kingdom, you can also gain entry into this enviable level of blessedness through a trial of faith. Today’s passage says the trial of your faith works for you. Apart from helping you to cultivate patience, it also helps you accumulate lots of blessings that will multiply upon you in due season. Job’s experience is a case in point.

Job was tremendously blessed by God. In the height of his prosperity his faith was taken through a fiery test. He lost everything. After the period of trial, God restored far much more than he lost. First, God multiplied his blessings by two. Also, all his brothers, sisters and friends who had been beneficiaries of his wealth but abandoned him when things turned sour, returned to comfort him.

Every one brought money and gold to him. In other words, they ceased to be his liability but became his assets. His three daughters were the most beautiful ladies in the land. Job was further given 140 years more to enjoy the multiplication of blessings (Job 42:10-17).Another person who moved into multiplication was Hannah. She was barren for many years and her faith was tried in fire. But she emerged as gold. Her blessings were multiplied. In mathematics, any number you multiplied by zero amounts to nothing. But with God you can multiply zero by a number and still have something. During the years of trial, while her mate was laughing her to scorn, God was busy preparing one of the greatest prophets for her.

Through Samuel, Hannah rose to be envied for the rest of her life. She became a VIP. Also she had five additional children and in the process over took Peninnah who started much earlier. Are you going through a fiery test? Rejoice.

The Lord is using this period to prepare your multiple blessings. As soon as you pass the test, the blessings will follow. Are people laughing at you now over the deficiencies in your life? You will have the last laugh. Your colleagues might have started ahead of you but as you patiently undertake your trial of faith, you will finish stronger and better than them.

You will end up greater. Your blessings will come in multiples. Stay on with the Lord and keep your faith. You will emerge a winner.
