Can Christians use Gold ornaments?

Read Exodus 37
- We serve a God of Excellence, Glory, and beauty. Moses used pure God and special to decorate the temple- vs.2&5 2 And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about. 5 And he put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, to bear the ark.
- The mercy seat in the temple was of pure gold – vs.6 And he made the mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half was the length thereof, and one cubit and a half the breadth thereof.
- If God created all precious minerals including gold and used pure gold to decorate the temple, it is in order if any Christian uses gold for decoration.
- If you read vs 16-17, you will even discover that the bowls, spoons, dishes and table of the temple were covered with pure gold. 16 And he made the vessels which were upon the table, his dishes, and his spoons, and his bowls, and his covers to cover withal, of pure gold. 17 And he made the candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work made he the candlestick; his shaft, and his branch, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, were of the same:
- It is not therefore a sin for a Christian to use gold.
- And the lesson we can learn from the chapter is that God is the God of order, precision, and specifications. The decoration of the temple is accordingly measurement, and orderliness.
- In any occupation or profession, make sure your work is according to standards and perfection.
