You cannot make heaven, if you do not love the poor

Luke 18 vs. 22 – Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

1. Jesus used the parable of the rich ruler to make a point that your act of righteousness is not complete without loving the poor.
2. If you keep all the commandments and refrain from committing any sin. You will not make heaven if you still despise the poor.
3. While loving the poor is not one of the ten commandments, it is, however, one of the characteristics of a good Christian.
