Matthew 18 vs 20
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
- Jesus Christ gave a very simple definition of the Church.
- Any gathering of two or more people calling the name of Jesus is a church.
- This means the Church is where:
- Two people are gathered,
- They are discussing Jesus,
- They talk about Jesus through the Holy Bible, which is the word of God,
- They have absolute faith and trust in the name of Jesus,
- The name of Jesus Christ is the supreme authority in the gathering
- It is not the building that makes the Church but the people and their faith in Christ.
