Tithes is for Levites

Bible study: 1 Chronicles 6: Tithes are for all full time Church founders, pastors, ministers and workers

1 Chronicles 6 vs 31, 32 & 48

And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest. nd they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order. Their brethren also the Levites were appointed unto all manner of service of the tabernacle of the house of God.

1. In these verses, the Bible is talking about the duties of the Levites.
2. In the Old Testament, the Levites were people appointed by God to minister in the synagogue.
3. Most of them were into full time employment doing different types of service in the tabernacle.
4. They ministered in the presence of God
5. In these present days, the Levites could be described as full-time church workers, and these includes  pastors  and any person that is working full time in the presence of God.
6. Any person that is dedicated to do the work of God as a job is a Levite.
7. If we follow this Bible definition of Levites, we will realize that God created tithes so there could be source of income for the Levites
8. The bige question is who are the levites in the present day church. Pastors alone who are like the high priests, or and full time church workers.
9. Tithe is meant to run the activities of the church, including payment of the salary of everyone working in the church especially the full-time workers.
10. Any church founder or Pastor  that appropriates all the tithes to himself or herself without taking care of other full ti,e church workers is running contrary to the scriptures.
11. God did not create tithe only for the high priest, Malaki 3 vs 10 says ‘… so there could be meat in my house’.
12. That meat is for all those working for God as a full time duty. It falls within the purview of Church leaders to spend the tithes judiciously along this principle.
