Ecclesiastes 7 Verse 1

A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth.

1. Almost everyone in this world celebrates birthday.
2. Almost everyone in this world is happy on the day he celebrates his birthday.
3. Almost everyone in this world, every year looks forward to celebrates his birthday.
4. Almost everyone in this world regards his day of birth as his own special day.
5. It does not seem to occur to us that every year we celebrate our birthday we are moving closer to our death day.
6. Very few people look forward to their death day, very few people plan for their death day, very few people want to think of their death day, most people are sad to imagine their death day.
7. But the Bible is saying that, that death day no one wants to think about is much more important than the birthday that everyone is looking forward to and celebrating.
8. The Bible is saying that, that death day no one wants to think or celebrate or plan for is greater than the birthday everyone is celebrating.
9. Death day is much more important because is your day of judgement, but birthday is your day of opportunity.
10. If you work with God death day is your day that you have won an everlasting jackpot, spending eternity in paradise.
11. The Bible is saying on your birthday you don’t receive any reward, It’s an ordinary day. You should look forward to your death day because on that death day because on that death day as a Christian, you move to everlasting joy, celebration, happiness, glory.
12. So, death day is much more important and greater for a Christian than birthday.
13. May God give you the power to have a joyous death day that will move you to eternity in Jesus name.
