Dear Brother Uzoma,
There are several ways you can break the power of fornication over your life.
1. The first thing you need to realise is that God has given every human being a free will to make choices, between good and evil, right or wrong.
Jpshua 24 vs15 “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, achoose you bthis day whom ye will cserve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my dhouse, we will eserve the Lord.”
God has given you the power of self control. There is no temptation that is beyond your ability to resist. So self determination matters. You must firmly decide to break lose from fornication. That decision must be strong in your heart.
No amount of prayers or scriptural confessions can help you out if you do not have a fierce determination within yourself to resist the devil
2. The second thing is that you have to change your company. The Bible says even communication corrupt good morals. So you have to watch where you go, what you watch, and the kind of friends you keep.
1 Corinthians 15:33 “Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good …Do not deceive yourselves: “Evil companionships corrupt good morals ”
If all your friends are dating, they it will be pretty difficult for you to stop fornication. If you are fond of watching sexy movies, attending night parties and clubs…then you are in an atmosphere that breeds fornication.
So you have to cut off from ungodly friends and find new friends that will help you to walk in holiness.
An effective way of achieving this is to spend more time in the presence of God. Find a GOOD bible beliving church and devote your time and energy serving God. You will meet new people who will talk more about God with you ..and this will ultimately take your mind of sex.
Also you need to get a Bible and devote more time to reading it…anytime you are feeling sexy, just take up the Bible and read, and the spirit of fornication will flee.
3. You did not mention if you are single or married. Also your age? If you are single and old enough to marry , then its better you prayerfully look for a life partner.
God created our sexual desires but it is meant to be expressed in a marriage between male and female. The Bible also says it is better to marry than to burn with passion. So start thinking of settling down with a loving wife with whom you can enjoy the joy of sex.
