…Proverbs 24:3-6
The word of God gives for our application a profound instruction as to the attainment of wisdom. The book of James chapter 1, verse 5 says, “if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault and it will be given to him”.
As instructive as this text is, we yet fail to apply it. This calls for deep thinking and the need to do a personal appraisal. Have you sat down to consider the fact that the most of the limitations and challenges we face can easily be solved if we have the required sense of wisdom? …
The right wisdom to pray and pray effectively, to think and think through, to plan and plan well, learning from the failures and experiences of others, applying principles that aid the manifestation of our hearts desires, et.c.
Do we often create quality time in the presence of God to ask for wisdom needed to direct the affairs of our life aright? Do we constantly have time to fellowship with our maker in the place of communion with His spirit in worship?
Do we create the appropriate opportunity to be able to hear Him and hear Him well when He speaks? Are we open to His leading?
The issue is not about asking questions. It is about the ordering of the affairs of our life in a pattern such that we can have God’s leading to direct the affairs of our lives aright.
It is about the application of good sense in the affairs of our lives so that we are successful in the endeavours of our lives; in career, in relationship, in the undertaking of a business venture, in health related issues,in vocational discipline as well as in the spiritual relationship between us and our Maker.
Let’s seek and learn the application of wisdom!
“By wisdom, a house is built and by understanding, it is established. By knowledge, the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
A wise man is mightier than a strong man, and a man of knowledge than he who has strength; for by wise guidance you can wage war and in the abundance of counselors, thereis victory.”
