Genesis 32 vs.13-14 – And he lodged there that same night; and took of that which came to his hand a present for Esau his brother; Two hundred she goats, and twenty he goats, two hundred ewes, and twenty rams,
- Esau had vowed to kill his younger brother Jacob for deceitfully taking over his blessings
- Jacob fled, but on returning, he sent gift ahead of him for Esau.
- Gifts can pacify wrath and provoke favour
- Give sacrificially as the led by the Spirit.
Prayer
– Spirit of stinginess in my life, die in Jesus name
– Holy Spirit, give me a generous spirit in Jesus name.
