Memorise: “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed” (Jas 1:6) Read: 2 Chronicles 1:6-12 |
| One of my sons once had a stomach ache. When he got to the hospital, it was discovered that his intestines had been eaten up by cancer.
The only option for doctors was to cut off the intestines, but this would also attract other health challenges: he would have diarrhoea for the rest of his life. Whatever food he ate from that moment would not be digested. This would affect his sight too. Inspite of these, he could only live for a few years. These were unpalatable medical reports. Then he came to the Holy Ghost service and the Lord said that there was someone whose intestines had been condemned and He was giving the fellow new ones. The following morning, he went to the toilet. To his surprise, his faeces that the doctors told him would be watery for the rest of his life was hard. That was how he was healed. Any part of your body that needs God’s touch will be healed today and you shall be whole in Jesus’ Name. One lesson from the story of the impotent man in John 5:2-14 is that God heard the man by the pool. James 1:5-8 says whenever you ask God for something, never doubt. Ask in faith. For the impotent man, because his day of divine visitation had come, his doubts were brushed aside. God ignored all his excuses. When your day comes, your doubts, fears and unbelief will not stop God. The Lord who heard the man by the pool will hear your prayer today. Similarly, after suffering for 38 years, his miracle could have been gradual or progressive. The recovery of some people is gradual, but this man’s own was sudden. When your turn around comes, it shall be sudden. Another lesson here is that after his healing, he went to the temple rejoicing and there he was instructed on how to sustain his miracle. If you want to retain any blessing received from God, draw nearer to Him and fellowship regularly with Him and fellow believers. One reason people lose their blessings or miracles is because they keep a distance from God after He blesses them. Some stop coming to church. Some can no more attend house fellowship or vigils just because they have got some little blessings. Never become a victim of blessings! There is also a six-fold blessing. In today’s reading, Solomon benefited from this. This year, your blessings shall be in multiples. You shall not only be blessed but also be a blessing. Do you allow God’s blessings to keep you from Him?
