Memorise: ” The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way” (Ps 25:9) Read: Isaiah 57:1-2 |
| In Genesis 2:15-23, we see that divine partnership relocates God’s partners into their prepared place. Another benefit of partnership with God found in Genesis 2:15 is that God assigns tasks, or duties to His partners. He took Adam into Eden to dress or maintain it. No true divine partner lacks heavenly assignments.
Are you currently without a definite heavenly assignment? Check out your partnership status with God. One evidence of being a divine partner is that you will not lack divine assignment or task. “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat” (Genesis 2:16). Another benefit of partnering with God in today’s reading is that God reserves instructions for His partners. Jeremiah 10:23 says: “O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps”. If you are in partnership with God, He will warn you of the danger zones on your way. He will tell you of the ‘blessings’ that will bring you into trouble. He will guide you on the job to take out of several options. He will warn you of foods that can kill, and when to leave a particular job or start another. This year, as you become God’s partner, He will open your eyes to the true nature of opportunities that come your way in Jesus’ Name. Some years ago, a brother worked for a particular company. He worked so hard and faithfully that he won the trust of his untrusting and ever suspicious boss. One day, his boss left Lagos for Kaduna and later asked him to relocate to Kaduna. The brother took it to God in prayer. The Lord asked him to go but added that he would have to resign at some point. On hearing this, the brother asked why he should go when he would end up returning to Lagos; yet he complied. Not long after, just when they were about to start collecting large sums of money, the Lord told him to resign. It was a painful decision but he obeyed and returned to Lagos. Little did he know the troubles the Lord was about to save him from. As money began to pour in, his colleagues became bitter enemies. Much later, when he met one of them, he was told he left just in time. As you partner with God this year, He will keep you and lead you in the way to go.

| If you are in partnership with the Almighty God but cannot receive divine counsel, it is likely there is a communication gap. |
