A WANDERING SPIRIT

Proverbs 27:8
Like a bird that wanders from its nest is a man who wanders from his place. The Sun newspaper of South Africa ran a story in its July 30, 2009 edition. It featured the picture of a distraught woman and her teenage daughter. The daughter died in a midnight auto crash.
When she was contracted she argued it could not have been her daughter because they both went to their respectful rooms to sleep the previous night. Unknown to her, the daughter stole though the window of her room in the night to go party with her peers.
She probably planned to steal back in the wee hours of the following morning before anyone would stir from sleep. She never made it back.
Such stories as this will readily bring it the mind the scripture in out text. A man that wanders from his place is no better than a bird that wanders from its nest. A nest provides both comfort and safety for a bird leaving the nest is exposure to inclement weather and to cunning hunters.
It is not often that people wander from their place at will. To begin with, many do not even know that there are divine places appointed for them but God.
Others who know move away unwittingly without even realizing what they are doing. We should keep in mind that there is what we can call a wandering spirit, which tends to dislodge people from their place in God.
One good way to overcome this spirit is to recognize constituted authority of God over her life. She was an umbrella unto her. If she had remained under that umbrella she would have escaped pre-mature death Divine authorities are not designed as killjoy, they are meant to preserve life and destiny.
Prayer :- Dear Lord, deliver me from the influence of every wandering spir
