Memorize: “And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof” (Gen 2:19)
Read Romans 4:17-20
“And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof” (Genesis2:19).
Another benefit of partnering with God is that God empower His partners to name or rename people, animals, tree, animate and inanimate objects situations, circumstances and events. The name a thing or event is called in important only to men but also to God.
God demonstrated keen interest in knowing what Adam would call each animal. The name he would give each of them would not only be the means by which they would be identified, but would also provide a distinct destiny, as wells chart for them a mode of conduct or behavioral pattern.
Whatever has been created on earth ought to have a name. Situation and circumstance have names. Whatever has been named can be renamed. Any unpleasant situation can be renamed. Renaming a thing or event can be done effectively or ineffectively. It is effective when a pronouncement is done backed by the power of God Almighty. And this takes place when effective partnership with God is in place. Naming is ineffective when done without divine authority.
A look through the scriptures from Genesis to Revelation reveals a common trend-the naming and renaming of people, things and circumstances. Beloved that unpleasant situation you are facing was brought to you to be renamed. Do you know that you can rename barrenness as fruitfulness, death as life, poverty as extreme wealth, problem as solution?
Any name you have been given capable of limiting or negating your destiny must be dropped for another. Every negative Satan, enemies or circumstance have given you must be dropped. You must have a name change!
Before he couldn’t fit into Heaven’s mould for his life and become what God had designed for him, Jacob had to change his name to Israel. John 1:12 says a power is given you that day you become born again.
As you grow in your partnership with God, through this divine deposit, you can speak forth a change in your life and situation.
It takes faith to do this. What are those unpleasant situations you are going through? Rename them today. But if you are not yet God’s partner, become one day.
