Commentary 

1. He said he would maintain his ways before God -vs.15, Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.
2. He requested God to hear his speech diligently -vs.17,
3. He said he has ordered his cause before God, which means his position is in order – vs.18, Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears.
4. He concluded by saying ‘I know I shall be justified’ which means God was wrong in allowing his suffering – vs.18, Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears.
