Memorise: “Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought” (Isaiah 60:11). Read: Matthew 17:24 -27 |
| In Luke 5:4, the Lord asked Peter to let down his nets for a draught. One lesson we learn from this is that you have your part to play in order to enter into your promised land. Some Christians think because God can do anything, He will prosper them if He wants. In other words, they want to hold God responsible for their woes. This contradicts God’s style of operation. None of His blessings is without a price. You have to meet His conditions. God wants to prosper you. He has put down everything you need to know about how to be prospered. They are contained in the Bible. But if you fail to study and apply laid down principles of prosperity, such a fellow may never access prosperity. In John 11:39-44, at the tomb of Lazarus, Jesus did not move the stone. He saw some hefty men and asked them to do so before He raised the dead. You may not be able to raise the dead, but you can roll away the stone of doubt and unbelief. You can roll away the stone of inaction. Be involved! God will never ask you to do what you cannot do. He told Peter, ”Let down your nets.” He did not say, “Peter, jump down, and swim underground in search of fishes.” He may not ask a messenger to preach to the Managing Director or a king. He will ask a king to preach to another king; a lawyer to another lawyer; a president to another president; a housewife to another house wife. It is what you can do He will ask you to do. In Matthew 17:24 -27, there was a need to pay tax. Jesus asked Peter to take his hook and go to the river to catch a fish. He already had the hook. He knew the location of the river. He had legs to go there. He knew how to cast the hook into the river. When you have done what you can, God will do the rest. There is a fish somewhere, navigating in some river just waiting for your hook. It has seen and rejected the hooks of others. It has refused to enter the nets of others. It is carrying your silver and gold. It is carrying the breakthrough you have always wanted. Infact, the fish is just very close to you. God will show you the fish. Are you trusting God for a husband? He is somewhere around you. He is swimming in a river very close to you. He is waiting for you to come and bring him out. Your money, car, house, children are in his mouth. The Lord will cause you to find him today. |
