Beware of internal strange gods

Psalm 81

1. Psalm 81 verse 9 talks of a strange god inside the heart of a man, and a strange god outside the heart of a man.
2. We all understand that the strange gods outside of a man are idols in form of various images.
3. However, most people are not aware that they may also be carrying strange gods inside their bodies.
4. Your stomach can become a strange god if you find it impossible to abstain from food in other to humble yourself before God in fasting.
5. Your eyes can become a strange go if you cannot do without feeding it with ungodly content.
6. If you cannot restrain yourself sexually by mutual consent to fast and pray even as a couple, sex has become a strange god to you.
7. Your lung has become a strange god if you cannot restrain yourself from narcotic drugs and cigarettes.
8. Your face can become a strange god if you become too conscious of your looks, and spent too much time on makeup.

Power of God, deliver me from every strange inner gods in Jesus name
