Memorise: “Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth much fruit” (John 15:2). Read: John 15:1-8 |
If you win one or two souls to Christ per month, you are fruitful. But what God expects from you is the highest soul winning level recorded in Daniel 12:3. For you to win the coveted reward of shining forever as stars and being as bright as the firmament, you must turn the greatest number of people to Christ. The first level of fruitfulness which is winning a soul to Christ once in a while, is just the starting point. Some Christians have made that the ultimate. That level only serves to convince God you are not spiritually barren and therefore not a candidate for His axe. Also, winning a soul a month makes God to focus attention on you. Why? He would say, My son is winning a few souls. What can I do to make him win some more? What spiritual fertilizer would he need? What level of pruning do I need to apply to take away the dross and hindrances and bring out the best in him? “Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth much fruit” (John 15:2). This passage tells us that the non-soul winner can never be perfect. The fruitless Christians cannot attain great spiritual heights. To be perfect, you will need to visit the refiner’s fire. There, as you pass through the fire, like gold is purified in the fire, all the impurities will be burnt up so that you can emerge your best. What qualifies you for this pruning process is your ability to bear a minimum number of souls. Do you want to be perfect and to see Jesus at His appearing and become like Him? Then you must make soul winning your watch word. It’s wisdom to win souls because it’s one activity that guarantees the greatest reward in Heaven, unspeakable joy on earth, access to divine wisdom, highest rank in eternity, becoming God’s favorite and the release of anointing of the Holy Spirit. How fruitful have you been for Jesus? Break that spiritual barrenness today. |
