Memorise: “And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:” (Acts 19:11). Read: Acts 19:11-12 |
| The call to arise and shine is a command from the Commander-in-Chief of the heavenly host. You dare not disobey because John 15:4 says to prove you are His friend, you would do His commandments. But how can I arise and shine? How can I be instrumental to birthing 31,000 parishes while I am personally responsible for 50 of them? How can I continue to excel in every area of my life? Zechariah 4:6 says, “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” If you have the Holy Spirit as your partner, He will supply the strength to enable you shine. You can shine in any area you find yourself. You can be the best. This has nothing to do with positions. With the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life, you have what it takes to be the best. As a pastor, you can excel. As a senior pastor you can excel. As an ordinary member of the congregation, you can raise the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:8 says power is released on you after you are baptized in the Holy Spirit. Yet, majority of believers who claim to have been baptized in the Holy Spirit have no power to show for it. Thank God for speaking in tongues. But the true proof of the presence of the Holy Spirit is your ability to demonstrate power. If you still operate as a powerless Christian, then your claim to have received the Holy Spirit is suspect. In my quest for power, I searched through the scriptures until 1 came across Acts 19:1-12. The passage says God performed special miracles through the hands of Paul. From my understanding, I know miracles are supernatural events. So, special miracles are special supernatural events.
told myself, this is what I wanted. I made up my mind to find out how Paul could excel in the miraculous with the same Holy Ghost that all believers are given. Whether you will become someone special or remain a nobody throughout life will be determined by what you did with the Holy Ghost. If you pocket Him, you will get nothing out of Him. If you enthrone Him as Lord and daily cultivate His friendship, He will do great things through you. The choice is yours. |
