Genesis 28 vs22
And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.
Genesis 31 vs 13
I am the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar, and where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred.
- God manifest his power according to the level of your faith and understanding.
- God exhibits the character of any name we call him.
- If you call him the healer, he will manifest to you his healing power.
- If you call him the deliverer, he will deliver you.
- In Genesis 28:22, Jacob saw him as the God of Bethel.
- God did not call himself God of Bethel; Jacob called him so.
- The God of Bethel, according to Joseph, is the God that watches his going and coming.
- In Genesis 31:13, God appeared and reminded him, ‘ I am the one you called the God of Bethel’.
- And God said I will watch over you back to your father’s land because you have called me by that name.
- You can call God any name according to your understanding of what he can do for you.
