Memorise: “And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household (2 Samuel 6:11). Read: Judges 13:24-25 |
| After Samson was born, he grew and the Lord blessed him. God will always bless anyone He has anointed because He is ever near them. God dwells with those He has anointed and wherever God is, blessings flow. The anointing, like a magnet, attracts blessings to the anointed. And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household” (2 Samuel 6:11).
God had just judged Uzzah who expressed zeal contrary to God’s laid down instruction concerning the handling of the Ark of the covenant. Levites were forbidden from touching the Ark on threat of death (Numbers 4:15-20). Uzzah touched and was struck dead. David became afraid. His joy of recovering the captured Ark was turned into sorrow and fear. He could not take it to his city. Obededom asked King David to bring the Ark into his house. While David was expecting to hear the worst come upon Obededom, three months later, he heard how the Lord blessed Obededom and his entire household. Every area of stagnancy began to break. Closed doors were flung wide open because the presence of God attracts blessings from being unknown, Obededorn became prominent in just three months. “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil: for God was with him” (Acts 10:38). Wherever God is, blessings flow and God is always where His anointing is. Today, many are quick to surrender their apartments, cars, belongings for the Master’s use while keeping their hearts far away. God wants your heart first. If you are living in secret sin. God will not accept your gift. Your pastor may. Whenever you bring a present to God, He will first look at your heart. If He accepts your person like He did Abels, He will most likely accept your gift. But if He rejects your person. He will surely reject your offering (Genesis 4:3-5). May the lord have respect for your person. May He anoint you with His Spirit. And may His anointing on your life attract more than all the good things you crave for in Jesus name. |

Anointing attracts open doors just as magnet attracts metals. Pray that your lifestyle will attract sinners to Christ. |
