Matthew 11 vs 12

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

1. What does Jesus Christ mean when He says only the violent can take the kingdom of God?
2. Before answering that question, we need to know the meaning of spiritual violence.
3. Spiritual violence means wrestling with God in the order of Jacob.
4. Spiritual violence means commanding the morning to vomit its blessings.
5. Spiritual violence means doing an Esther fasting to upturn an evil decree.
6. Spiritual violence means upstaging the traders’ tables, as Jesus Christ demonstrated in the sanctuary.
7. Spiritual violence means breaking the rules, as Zaccheaus and his friends practised.

We need spiritual violence because:

1. The only language the enemy understands is force.
2. Unless you resist the enemy, he will not flee from you.
3. The enemy has declared war against every child of God.
4. There is an ongoing battle in the heart between the forces of darkness and light.
