Wanted Spiritual Force
Matthew 11 vs 12
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
- What does Jesus Christ mean when He says only the violent can take the kingdom of God?
- Before answering that question, we need to know the meaning of spiritual violence.
- Spiritual violence means wrestling with God in the order of Jacob.
- Spiritual violence means commanding the morning to vomit its blessings.
- Spiritual violence means doing an Esther fasting to upturn an evil decree.
- Spiritual violence means upstaging the traders’ tables, as Jesus Christ demonstrated in the sanctuary.
- Spiritual violence means breaking the rules, as Zaccheaus and his friends practised.
We need spiritual violence because:
- The only language the enemy understands is force.
- Unless you resist the enemy, he will not flee from you.
- The enemy has declared war against every child of God.
- There is an ongoing battle in the heart between the forces of darkness and light.
Prayer
- Holy Spirit, train my fingers for battles.
