Three types of adultery
Matthew 5
- Sleeping with a man/woman, you are not legally married to – vs. 27, Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
- Lusting after a woman in your heart – vs 28, But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
- Divorcing your partner except based on adultery – 32, But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

There is also one more form of adultery it’s spiritual adultery not walking in covenant with God when you read Ezra chapters 9 and 10 God had everyone who married pagan wives divorce them. It is a very interesting read I just saw I think maybe 3 years ago.
