Salvation as the primary message of the church

Matthew 3 vs 2 & 6

² And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

⁶ And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

1. The primary message of the church is salvation.
2. The primary message of the Pastors should be repentance from sin.
3. The church’s primary purpose is to bring sinners to the church through confession of sin.
4. The Bible says John the Baptist went about preaching, and its main message was ‘Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand’. 
5. Unfortunately, the message of repentance is fast disappearing from the altar.
6. Unfortunately, prosperity and miracle sermons have displaced salvation from the primary message of the church.
7. May the Holy Spirit bring us back to Christ in Jesus’ name.
