Matthew 2 vs 1-2

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

² Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

1. Herod was disturbed that Jesus was born.
2. Herod was disturbed that another king was born.
3. Herod was disturbed that the Jews now had a new king.
4. Herod was disturbed that a star was rising.
5. Herod was disturbed that wise men came from the East to worship Baby Jesus.
6. Herod was disturbed that someone else was being worshipped apart from him.
7. Herod eventually died, and Jesus fulfilled his ministry.

Prayers

• Herod troubling my star shall die in Jesus’ name.
